Charly Grey

The plant is compact and responds well to dense population.  The fruit is an oblong, blocky shape reaching sizes of 18 to 22 kgs.  It is shorter and “fatter” than standard Charleston Grey.  The rind has a nice light green color.  Interior color is an unusual firm red flesh much better than Charleston Grey.  The flesh is very sweet and refreshing.

Maturity
Mid Season, 90 days

Disease Tolerance
Fusarium, Anthracnose

Comments
Charly Grey does well with a good fertilizer program.  Extra large fruit can be obtained if vines are limited to 2 fruits per plant.
